USRowing Introduces the Emerging Leaders Council
USRowing is proud to launch the Emerging Leaders Council (ELC), a groundbreaking initiative designed to empower the next generation of rowers and promote leadership within the sport. The mission of the ELC is to promote the engagement of early-career professionals through a robust nationwide network and propel the mission of USRowing. ELC members serve as Ambassadors for USRowing, leverage their resources to mobilize efforts around various initiatives such as National Team Pathways and United We Row, and help post-collegiate rowers and budding masters connect to the greater rowing community.
The council, which formed in August of this year, is composed of four subcommittees: United We Row, Networking and Development, High Performance and Master’s Rowing. Julia Moore, a Trinity rower alumnus, former coach and founder of &Moore Co, a fundraising and event company and Dominic Pardini, a UCLA rower alumnus, a former coach and the founder and CEO of CrewLAB, will serve as Co-Presidents.
“I am thrilled to partner with Dominic to lead the ELC,” said Julia Moore, Co-President of the Emerging Leaders Council. We are passionate about rowing and are excited to work on initiatives that will help grow the sport in the United States.”
Council members assist with networking and professional development opportunities, volunteering, and fundraising initiatives.
“We are thrilled to have such a fantastic group of young professionals to steward this exciting period for USRowing,” said Amana Kraus, CEO of USRowing. “By creating this council, we aim to amplify their voices and support their vision for a more inclusive and dynamic rowing community and push the sport forward in the lead up to the LA 2028 Games.”
