USRowing Announces 2025 Golden Oars Gala to Be Held at the Harvard Club of New York City

USRowing is proud to announce that the 2025 Golden Oars Gala will take place on Thursday, November 13, at the Harvard Club of New York City. The annual gala serves as the hallmark fundraising event for USRowing, with all proceeds from the evening dedicated to supporting the U.S. National Team.

This year’s celebration will honor USRowing Foundation Trustee Andy McLane for his extraordinary leadership and contributions to the rowing community. The evening will also recognize the 2025 USRowing Athletes of the Year, celebrate the achievements of the 2025 World Championship medalists, and commemorate the 50th anniversary of the legendary “Red Rose Crew”.

“We are excited to bring together the rowing community for an evening of celebration and camaraderie,” said USRowing CEO Amanda Kraus. “This is such a wonderful opportunity to recognize the best our sport has to offer, all for a great cause.”

The Golden Oars Gala will feature a tiered pricing system  this year to make the event more accessible to all members of the rowing community. Following the dinner and main program, guests are invited to the “Coxswain Toss” after-party, which will include desserts, drinks, and dancing.

An online auction, open to the public, will also take place with the event. The auction is open now and will close at 11:00 p.m. upon the conclusion of the gala. Click here to access the auction

Honoring Andy McLane

This year’s honoree, Andy McLane, serves as a Senior Advisor at TA Associates, a leading global private equity firm. Over his 40-year career with TA, McLane held roles as Senior Managing Director and member of the Executive Committee, leading investments across the consumer, financial services, and business services industries.

Beyond his professional success, McLane is deeply committed to philanthropy. He currently chairs the Nominating Committee for the USRowing Foundation and has served on numerous nonprofit boards, including the Appalachian Mountain Club, Cambridge Boat Club, the Museum of Fine Arts, St. Paul’s School, and the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Foundation. He has also contributed to the investment committees of Dartmouth College, Phillips Exeter Academy, and St. Paul’s School, where he served as Chair.

McLane and his wife, Linda, are members of both the Cambridge Boat Club and Leander Club, and enjoy rowing singles at their home on Newfound Lake in New Hampshire.

Recognizing Excellence in Rowing

The 2025 USRowing Athletes of the Year, selected through a peer voting process, will be formally honored during the evening’s program. Their achievements represent the pinnacle of dedication, teamwork, and excellence in American rowing.

USRowing extends its sincere appreciation to our sponsors, One Equity Partners, TJC, and Broadridge , for their generous support in making the Golden Oars Gala possible.
