USRowing Announces Host Sites for the 2026 USRowing Indoor National Championships


USRowing is excited to announce a continued partnership with five host sites for the 2026 USRowing Indoor National Championships Atlanta, GA; Chattanooga, TN; Chicago, IL; Pittsburgh, PA; and Tacoma, WA.

Taking place on February 7, 2026, all race results from the official host sites will be aggregated in real time on the official USRowing National Leaderboard. At the conclusion of the final competition at the last site, USRowing will crown national champions for each of the 200+ events. The top three finishers on the National Leaderboard for each event will also receive a medal in recognition of their achievements.   

The Championships features an extensive range of events spanning various age groups and categories, including under 15, under 17, under 19, under 23, open, lightweight, para, and masters divisions. New for 2026, the USRowing National Leaderboard will also feature 2000-meter relays and 1-minute races.  

USRowing is committed to making the event more accessible, welcoming not only seasoned rowers but also local athletes who may be discovering the sport for the first time. Take on top competitors from across the nation by racing at your regional host site. Push your limits, display your talent, and battle for the honor of being crowned a USRowing National Champion!

 Atlanta Erg Sprints   

  • Host Club: Georgia Tech Alumni and Georgia Tech Rowing Club  
  • Venue: Georgia Tech Campus Recreation Center - Atlanta, GA 

NW Ergomania!  

  • Host Club: Tacoma Rowing Club 
  • Venue: University YMCA Student Center - Tacoma, WA 

Pittsburgh Indoor Sprints 

  • Host Club: Three Rivers Rowing Association  
  • Venue: David L. Lawrence Convention Center - Pittsburgh, PA 

South Side Smackdown / The Tiro Cup  

  • Host Club: Chicago Training Center 
  • Venue: Gage Fieldhouse - Chicago, IL 

Tennessee Indoor Rowing Championships   

  • Host Club: Lookout Rowing Club 
  • Venue: University of Tennessee-Chattanooga’s Maclellan Gymnasium - Chattanooga, TN 

The Championships feature an extensive range of events spanning various age groups and categories, including under-15, under-17, under-19, under-23, open, lightweight, Para, and masters divisions. In addition to the National Leaderboard events, each host site will offer unique local competitions, including CrossFit challenges, relays, 5Ks, coxswain races, and parent-child races. With accessibility at the forefront, the event offers exciting competition for local talented rowers and athletes that don’t have the traditional rowing experience.
