USRowing Announces Southeast Masters Partnership

In 2026, USRowing will take a new approach to celebrating masters racing in the Southeast. The organization will partner with the Dogwood Masters Classic in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, allowing the well-established regatta to serve as the USRowing Southeast Masters Championships partner event. This one-day event, on Saturday, May 30, managed by ORRA, provides multiple opportunities for both scull and sweep competition.

In addition to the Southeast events, masters rowers have several other regattas to look forward to. The USRowing Northwest Masters Championships will be held June 26–28 at Dexter Lake in Lowell, Oregon. The Diamond State Masters Regatta—serving as the USRowing Northeast/Mid-Atlantic Masters Championships—will take place June 20–21 on Noxontown Pond in Townsend, Delaware. The following weekend, masters athletes will also compete at the Stars and Stripes-USRowing Central Masters Regional Championships in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on June 27.

Southeast Masters Championships Partnership

USRowing is pleased to announce both a USRowing Masters Camp training opportunity and a regatta partnership with Oak Ridge Rowing Association (ORRA) for Masters in the Southeast Region.

The week of May 25, 2026, USRowing will offer a multi-day Masters training camp on Melton Lake in Oak Ridge, TN. Elite coaches from across the US will work with Masters on all facets of their rowing in a high-touch program. Space will be limited to ensure appropriate athlete-coach ratios. The camp will include on-water coached sessions, video review, and free-time on the ORRA sprint course.  The last day of camp will coincide with the practice day for Oak Ridge Rowing Association's Dogwood Masters Classic Regatta.

This will be the first masters flatwater camp of 2026. Masters athletes will also have the opportunity to learn and try beach sprint rowing at a Beach Sprint Pathways Development Camp in August, held ahead of the inaugural USRowing Beach Sprint National Championships on August 7–9 in New Bedford, Massachusetts.
