USRowing Foundation Adds Gary F. Goldring as Trustee
USRowing is pleased to announce the addition of Gary F. Goldring– part-owner of the Tampa Bay Rays– as Trustee to the USRowing Foundation (USRF).
Gary F. Goldring holds B.S. and M.B.A. degrees from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a J.D. from Columbia Law School. While at the University of Pennsylvania, he was a coxswain on the heavyweight crew team, which won both the Eastern Sprints and IRA Championships. He continues to cox with the 1980 Rowing Club and Occoquan International masters rowing teams.
“Being a member of a crew requiring such hard work and dedication was an amazing opportunity to learn the value of teamwork in any setting,” said Gary F. Goldring. “I still have many close friends from those days.”

After practicing corporate law, Gary joined Spear, Leeds & Kellogg, a diversified securities firm, eventually becoming the Managing Partner. When the company was acquired by Goldman Sachs, he joined that firm as a Partner until his retirement. Goldring has served on varied charitable boards including St. Barnabas Hospital, The Papermill Playhouse, The National Securities Clearing Corp, The US Olympic Committee Foundation, Great Hollow Nature Preserve, The Cohen Veterans Network and The Tampa Bay Rays Baseball Foundation.
