The Trustees use their personal and professional contacts to grow the USRowing fundraising pipeline, providing opportunities for individuals, foundations, and corporations to support current and new USRowing initiatives and priorities through individual philanthropy and corporate sponsorships.

Education
Steve Camahort is an attorney with Paul Hastings LLP. He is the parent of a U19/U23 National Team athlete and is an advocate for youth rowing and a strong pipeline and pathway for young rowers to achieve success on the international stage.
Gerry Cardinale was a member of the varsity rowing team at Harvard University from 1985 to 1989, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He then went to Oxford University, where he was a Rhodes Scholar, and rowed in the Isis crew for the 1990 Oxford-Cambridge Boat Race. Cardinale’s firm, RedBird, manages $10 billion of equity on behalf of a select group of blue-chip institutional and family office investors. The firm’s legacy and current investment portfolio includes many of the world’s most iconic entrepreneurs, properties, and brands across the sports, media, and entertainment industries.
Elizabeth Clark is a former attorney and current author. She is a masters swimmer and believes in the transformative power of sport. Elizabeth is the parent of a Division I collegiate athlete who has represented the U.S. on both the U19 and U23 National Teams.
Olivia Coffey joined One Equity Partners (OEP) as an Associate in 2018 and is based in New York. Ms. Coffey is a member of the Board of Directors at Dragonfly Financial Technologies, a board observer at Montgomery Transport, and involved with the Prime Time Healthcare transaction. Liv rowed for Harvard University and the University of Cambridge where she competed in the famed “Boat Race”. Liv has represented the U.S. in three Olympic Games and is a three-time World Champion.
Thomas L. Cornacchia was a varsity member of the heavyweight rowing team at Columbia University and stroked the Columbia varsity four at the Henley Royal Regatta in 1985. Tom had an impressive 30-year career in finance, retiring in 2017 as a partner at Goldman Sachs as co-head of global FICC sales. He has been active in supporting the Columbia University Rowing Program and, along with his wife, established a program endowment for Columbia Rowing in 2011. Thomas currently serves on Columbia’s Athletics Leadership Council in addition to Columbia’s Rowing Advisory Committee. He has been a supporter and advisor to the Row New York program as well as serving as president of Connecticut Boat Club, a high school women’s rowing program in his local community, from 2012 to 2022. Thomas has five children, including a daughter who rowed competitively for the U.S. on the 2015 and 2016 U19 National Team.
Mary Cranston is the retired CEO and Chair Emeritus of Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP, a Global 100 law firm. She is currently a member of the boards of Chemours, TPG Inc, Go Health and USRowing. She has also served on the boards of Visa, McAfee, Juniper Networks, and Stanford University. Mary was inducted into the Bay Area Business Hall of Fame in December 2023, received the Margaret Brent Award, the American Bar Association’s highest award for lifetime achievement to a woman lawyer, and was named one of the 100 most influential and effective corporate directors in the United States by the National Association of Corporate Directors. Ms. Cranston has a J.D. from Stanford Law School, an M.A. in Educational Psychology from UCLA, and a B.A. in Political Science from Stanford University. She is the parent of a gold-medal winning U19/U23 and Pan American Game athlete.
Richard Engel is an attorney who has served as a host family for several national team athletes training at the Princeton Training Center. Rick has been a vocal advocate and supporter of USA athletes.
Catriona Fallon OLY is an experienced public company Chief Financial Officer, Executive Advisor, and Investor. She is currently the Interim-CFO for SambaNova Systems, the technology backbone that recently launched the world’s fastest AI platform. Catriona has served on several public company boards and has been a Palomar Holdings Board of Directors member since May 2019, shortly after the specialty insurance company’s IPO. She also serves on the Board of Directors for Arlo Technologies, Inc., a smart home technology company based in Carlsbad, CA, and General Fusion, a private Canadian company pursuing the fastest and most practical path to commercial fusion energy. Fallon previously served on the Board of Directors of Cray Inc. until its acquisition by Hewlett Packard Enterprise.
She holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles. Fallon is a five-time member of the U.S. National Team and a two-time member of the U.S. Olympic rowing team (1992 in Barcelona and 1996 in Atlanta).
Kirsten Feldman is a masters rower and Chair of the USRowing Board of Directors. Kirsten is a retired investment banker with extensive experience advising companies and boards. She was elected to the USRowing Board in 2023 as the Northeast Region representative and has previously served as Co-Chair of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee and as a member of the High-Performance Council. She retired as a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley in New York City after leading the firm’s Global Retail Industry practice for many years. Following her retirement, Kirsten has served on the boards of several non-profit organizations, including the Environmental Defense Fund, Asphalt Green, the Montana Land Reliance, and the Steep Rock Association.
Blake is a high yield research analyst on the Global Fixed Income Team at Brandywine Global Investment Management. Prior to joining the Firm in 2022, Blake was a research analyst with Diamond Hill Capital Management (2016-2022). Blake earned his J.D. and B.S in Finance from The Ohio State University. Blake has competed in three Paralympic Games, twice as a rower in the PR1 M1x and twice as Paracanoe athlete, winning a bronze medal in the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris in the VL2 200m, and a silver in the VL2 200m in 2020 in Tokyo. Blake has also participated in several World Championship events as a Para rower and Para canoeist.
Mac Heller retired as co-head of global M&A and global investment banking at Goldman Sachs in 2002 after 20 years at the firm. He graduated summa cum laude from Harvard where he rowed on the varsity lightweight crew. He was a member of the US National Team in 1975. Mac also holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School. Mac is currently a documentary film producer, focused on the right to vote. He competes on the masters indoor racing circuit.
Andre Hunter is currently doing private consulting after successfully selling his travel planning business several years ago. He is devoting most of his time to supporting nonprofit organizations. Besides his role as USRF Trustee, he serves as Board President of the Mianus River Gorge Inc. (N.Y.), NH LAKES Trustee and Chair of the Development Committee (N.H.), and President of the Friends of Dartmouth Rowing. Before his career in the travel business, Andre spent ten years in banking and real estate investment in New York. Andre graduated from Dartmouth College where he was on the Dartmouth heavyweight rowing team, and subsequently received an MBA from the Tuck School at Dartmouth.
With over 30 years as a successful attorney, entrepreneur, and investor, Joshua Laterman is the Chief Business Development Officer and General Counsel of his family’s office, which has over 40 years of investment in technology, medical and real estate. Joshua is a NYC native and rowed varsity crew at Cornell University. Joshua’s daughter is a Division I collegiate rower.
Andy McLane is a Senior Advisor at TA Associates, a leading global private equity firm that has raised $65 billion in capital since its founding in 1968. During a 40 year career at TA, he was Senior Managing Director, served on the firm’s Executive Committee and headed its investing activities in the consumer, financial services and business services industries. Andy led 33 investments by TA Associates, 11 of which became public companies, and has served on 32 corporate Boards of Directors. His TA investments include AIM Management Group (became Invesco Ltd.), Affiliated Managers Group, Emulex Corporation, First Eagle Investment Management, Numeric Investors (acquired by Man Group), Tempur Sealy International and Thomson Advisory Group (became PIMCO).
In addition to the USRowing Foundation, where he Chairs the Nominating Committee, Andy has served on 7 other not-for-profit Boards, including the Appalachian Mountain Club, Cambridge Boat Club, the Museum of Fine Arts, St. Paul’s School and the US Ski and Snowboard Foundation, and on Investment Committees for Dartmouth College, Phillips Exeter Academy and St. Paul’s School (Chair).
Andy and his wife, Linda, began rowing when one of their sons joined the heavyweight crew at Harvard in 2004. He is a member of Cambridge Boat Club and Leander Club and they both row singles at their home on Newfound Lake in NH. They have 4 sons and 8 grandchildren.
Andy holds an AB degree from Dartmouth College (1969) and an MBA from Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business (1973).
Bill McNabb is the former chairman and CEO of Vanguard. Bill learned to row during his time at Dartmouth College and has been a vocal and important presence in the rowing world for decades. Besides chairing the USRowing Foundation, Bill is also involved with the Conshohocken Rowing Center, The Gold Cup, Head of the Charles, and Dartmouth Rowing.
Andy Merrill is a partner at Prosek, a strategic financial communications firm focusing on transaction communications and issues and crisis management. Prior to joining Prosek, Andy was a Senior Managing Director at Teneo, a global strategic consultancy. He was also the U.S. CEO of Finsbury, where he led the firm merger with Robinson Lehrer Montgomery. Andy has worked as an investment banker at UBS and as both a senior commercial banker and the head of investor relations for The Bank of New York. Andy is a graduate of Trinity College where he was captain of the varsity lightweight crew. He is former Chair of the Board of the Stamford Hospital Foundation in Stamford, Conn., and a member of the Boards of Trustees of Row New York and USRowing.
Hilary Parkhurst is an accomplished masters racer who also competed on a U.S. U19 World Championship team and raced for Princeton University. Hilary is a seasoned and savvy philanthropist who has served as Trustee for St. Paul’s School (Concord, N.H.). She has also served on the Board of Directors for City Squash (Bronx, N.Y.) and as an officer for the Junior League. Hilary has been a middle school and high school math teacher and is passionate about the importance and benefits of sport in developing youth and character.
Polly Saltonstall has edited and written for Maine Boats, Homes & Harbors Magazine, Cooking Light, and WoodenBoat; as well as newspapers including the New York Times. Polly has also edited several books. A varsity collegiate rower at Radcliffe, Polly now is a masters and open water rower based in Maine. Her son was a collegiate rower at the University of California, Berkeley.
Scott Sandell is Executive Chairman and CIO of NEA, a venture capital firm focusing on a wide range of technology companies. He is also involved with the National Venture Capital Association and is a founding director of the organization’s nonprofit, Venture Forward. Scott rowed in high school and then at Dartmouth College. Following graduation, Scott became a Dartmouth Freshman Lightweight coach and then went on to row at the London Rowing Club. Scott currently is a masters rower out of the Palm Beach Rowing Association.
Trina Santry has been around rowing for most of her adult life, rowing at Dartmouth College as an undergrad, competing as a masters sculler for 30 years, serving as a Steward of Friends of Dartmouth Rowing, and as a rowing parent. Her sons, Artie and Richie, both rowed heavyweight at Dartmouth. Trina and her husband, Art, reside in Arlington Va., but also spend time in Newport, R.I., and Alta, Utah.
Karen Skinner holds a B.S. from the College of Business, Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Management at Michigan State University and is the parent of three collegiate rowing athletes: Peter Skinner, who rowed lightweights at Princeton, Hanna, who rowed at Lehigh, and Jack Skinner, the 2023 USRowing Under 19 Male Athlete of the Year who is currently rowing at the University of California, Berkeley. Karen has held numerous volunteer positions including those at New Trier High School, the Red Cross, and the Garden Guild of Winnetka, Ill.
John Straus is a Partner at TJC, a U.S.-based private equity firm focused on investments in middle-market companies across a range of industries. Prior to TJC, John worked in the Mergers and Acquisitions Advisory group at Gleacher Partners. He serves and has served on the board of directors of several of TJC’s portfolio companies. John holds a B.S. degree in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania where he rowed on the Penn heavyweight crew and was team captain in 2004-2005. John currently serves as a board member of the Friends of Penn Rowing.
Fran Tuite is an investor, accomplished and decorated masters rower, cyclist, animal lover, and organic farmer. Fran is a Portfolio Manager for the SMID-Cap and ESG Equity strategies and is responsible for investment research for both strategies. She is a member of the Chicago Finance Exchange, an invitation-only organization for senior women leaders in finance, and a member of International Women Associates, which pursues global understanding and universal human rights, and currently is an Ambassador for the Steppenwolf Theatre, serving on the Directors Circle. She co-founded River St. Joe, an organic brewery that’s located on Flatwater Farms, and Chicago Community Sculling, a non-profit that serves disadvantaged youth, and served as Board Chair and director for Recovery on Water, a non-profit focused on rowing for breast cancer survivors. She’s been a competitive rower for over 45 years starting at Purdue University and is a member of the Leander Club, Upper Thames RC, Lincoln Park Boat Club, as well as the Buchanan Rowing Club, which she founded. She enjoys riding her bike to work every day in Chicago.
Pat has an extensive and diverse fundraising background, having served in several senior positions throughout her career where she provided strategic counsel on fundraising growth strategies, campaign planning and execution, major and principal gifts, and operational expertise. An active and competitive rower and an avid fly fisher, Pat spends as much time as possible on the water.
William Weil helps to oversee a private trust company on behalf of his family. He co-created Tales2go, which was an award-winning audiobook service for K12 schools; served in various roles at National Geographic and helped to create a business unit which co-acquired and released the Academy Award-winning film March of the Penguins; sold a company to American Greetings and then helped them roll-up eGreetings and Blue Mountain Arts; and led the strategy group at Nickelodeon Networks, which developed and launched the cable channels Noggin and TV Land. He started his career in the media group at Lazard Freres. William rowed on the lightweight team at Harvard and has a son who did as well. His youngest presently rows for Wellesley College.
Sharon Wienbar has extensive board governance experience in public and private companies. She currently serves on the boards of Resideo Technologies, Inc., where she chairs the Compensation Committee, and Enovis Corp, where she is the Lead Independent director. She served on both the Glu Mobile and Everyday Health boards from early revenue, through IPO, and beyond. Sharon started her career as a strategy consultant, has served on numerous other private and non-profit boards, and been a CEO and officer of a public company. Sharon is a competitive masters and open-water rower. Sharon holds bachelors and masters Engineering degrees from Harvard University and an MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
George is a seasoned sports business executive with a 15-year career within the National Basketball Association (NBA). He embarked on his NBA journey as a summer intern and has steadily risen through the ranks to his current position as Vice President and Head of Partnerships for the NBA Gatorade League. In this capacity, George leads a high-performing team responsible for cultivating and managing lucrative partnerships. Notable partners secured under his purview include Hyatt Hotels, StockX, and The General Auto Insurance. George rowed at Middlesex School and then at Cornell University.
