Won silver in the men's single sculls at the 2025 World Cup I. Won bronze in the men's quadruple sculls at the 2025 World Cup II. Finished 13th overall in the men’s single sculls at the 2024 Olympics, the best for an American in the event since 2008. Finished second in the single sculls at the 2024 World Rowing Final Olympic & Paralympic Qualification Regatta. Won gold in the single sculls and finished sixth in the quadruple sculls at the 2023 Pan American Games Qualification Regatta. Reached the finals of The Queen Mother Challenge Cup in the quadruple sculls at the 2022 Henley Royal Regatta. Finished ninth in the double sculls at the 2022 World Rowing Cup II. Finished 18th in the quadruple sculls at the 2018 World Rowing Under 23 Championships. Finished 14th in the quadruple sculls at the 2017 World Rowing Under 23 Championships

Personal
Jacob won the 2025 George Pocock Award of Excellence. He was named Rower of the Month by World Rowing in June 2025. He was Northeastern's team captain in 2016. He was nominated three times to the IRA All-American team. He enjoys photography, fishing, design, reading, cycling, and hiking. Jacob wants to pursue a career in architecture and coaching. He considers his parents as his personal heroes due to their unwavering support in his pursuit of rowing, and for exemplifying hard work, discipline, and persistence. He enjoys listening to Yellows Days, King Krule, Steven Wilson and Saint.
