U.S. Crews to Race at World Cup in Varese, Italy
The United States will field fourteen crews at the World Cup in Varese, Italy, on June 13–15. In addition to the Para national team entries, twelve crews from the U.S. senior national team will also compete.
Returning to international competition are multiple Olympians. Jacob Plihal returns to compete in the men's single sculls. Grace Joyce, from the Olympic women's quadruple sculls, will be racing in the women's double sculls. Team USA has two entries in the women's four with Olympians Teal Cohen, Azja Czajkowski, Kate Knifton, Jess Thoennes, and Charlotte Buck competing. The women's fours will compete in the eight with Olympian Nina Castagna returning to cox. Maggie Fellows will compete in the women's single sculls after winning the 2025 Winter Speed Order.
Olympic bronze medalist Christian Tabash competes in the men's four with Olympic alternate Alexander Hedge and former U23 national teamers Jacob Hudgins and Nathan Phelps. In the men's pair, Olympic alternate Gus Rodriguez will race with Josh Diggons, the 2024 U23 World Champion in the men's four.
