Personal

Gary enjoys hanging with the boys, sleeping, and watching Netflix. He loves law and wants to become a lawyer. Gary used to play soccer before he started rowing. He got introduced to the sport through his older brother. Gary would always get dragged along to regattas and the coach would always ask him when he was going to start rowing. The summer before his eighth-grade year, he did a learn-to-row and fell in love with the sport. His hero is Marc Oria, he kept him in the sport when he wanted to quit in 2020, and Marc always pushed him to be a better athlete and better man! Gary plans on going to law school, but rowing will always be a part of his life. His favorite race course is Oak Ridge, Tennessee. His favorite boat to race is Eric Murray and Hamish Bond Men’s Pair. He is currently watching the Walking Dead, but his favorite shows are Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones .
