Personal
Emelie earned Patriot League Academic Honor Roll recognition in 2019, 2020, and 2021. In 2020, she was a CRCA Scholar-Athlete. Emelie was a three-time letter winner in crew and springboard diving at Phillips Academy. She was MVP of the crew team in 2018. Emelie is a Tang Soo Do fourth-degree black belt (master level). She is a TEDxMIT Speaker. Emelie enjoys fashion design and golf. For the past two years, shes sewn all of her own formal and semi-formal events dresses. She designed wearable AI software for the world's first intelligent heated jacket. She is a teachers assistant for Engineering Leadership and Machine-Motivated Human Vision. Emelie acted as a pirate for a children's treasure-hunting cruise. She was introduced to rowing through a Introductory fall season freshman year of high school. She lists her mother, who leads her family and businesses alike, as her personal hero. Once shes done rowing, she would like to do data analytics for sports. Her faovrite place to compete is the Charles River and her favorite travel destination is Amsterdam. She lists Bradley Snyders gold at the 2012 Paralympics as her most memorable Olympic moment. Her favorite book is A Most Beautiful Thing by Arshay Cooper, and she enjoys listening to Taylor Swift.
