Collegiate rowers take rowing to the next level, with some continuing into the elite racing setting. may be former youth or someone walking onto the sport. Whether racing from Youth into the Collegiate space, or walking on into the sport, Collegiate athletes make up 12% of rowers in the United States. Racing Opportunities

USRowing hosts national championships over the summer and participates in elite regatta worldwide allowing Collegiate athletes to participate in a variety of levels of competition. Learn more about these racing opportunities below!

Camp Opportunities

USRowing offers a variety of camps based on the skill set of the Collegiate athlete. Below is a breakdown of the camps offered and who they serve.

  • U23 Selection Camp: Comprised of athletes identified and invited to race at the U23 World Rowing Championships.
  • World University Games Team Camp: Development opportunity for athletes with international potential. The World University Games (WUG) occurs in odd numbered years and is an international competition between participating countries.
  • U23 Development Camp: Designed to train elite athletes into becoming prospective High Performance candidates.

Emerging Leaders Council

The mission of the Emerging Leaders Council (ELC) is to promote the engagement of early-career professionals through a robust nationwide network and propel the mission of USRowing. ELC members serve as Ambassadors for USRowing, leverage their resources to mobilize efforts around various initiatives such as National Team Pathways and United We Row, and help post-collegiate rowers and budding masters connect to the greater rowing community.
