In August 2024, USRowing launched the Emerging Leaders Council (ELC). The mission of the ELC is to promote the engagement of early-career professionals through a robust nationwide network and propel the mission of USRowing. ELC members serve as Ambassadors for USRowing, leverage their resources to mobilize efforts around various initiatives such as National Team Pathways and United We Row, and help post-collegiate rowers and budding masters connect to the greater rowing community.
Networking and professional development opportunities as well as resources for council members highlight the Council’s activities, in addition to volunteering and coach education events. Council members also help with fundraising initiatives.
“We are thrilled with this initiative and look forward to the ELC amplifying USRowing’s mission. The timing couldn’t be better to continue the growth of our community nationally as we head to the Olympics in Paris this summer and enter into a new quadrennial with the Olympics on American soil in 2028,” said USRowing CEO Amanda Kraus.
