Athletes of the Year

Each year, the athletes and coaches on the senior, under 23, under 19, and beach sprint national teams select their respective Athletes of the Year.

In 2022, the USRowing Board of Directors announced that the Female Athlete of the Year Award would be renamed in honor of the late Carie Graves.

The athlete of the year awards are awarded to the athlete(s) who displayed during the past year the most compelling combination of character, leadership, and performance, while driving forward a positive team culture.
