USRowing's 2026 Membership Program
Our commitment as the governing body of rowing in the U.S. is to facilitate safe and positive rowing experiences and to help people participate, whether they are members or not. For those of you considering membership or preparing to renew, the 2026 Member Program information is now available, and registration will open at 10 a.m. ET Monday, November 24, 2025, with membership options outlined below.
Over the past year, your feedback has guided our focus and made clear the need for deeper communication, better tools, and stronger support. We are excited to share how we are increasing our investment in the member experience and delivering meaningful improvements across the sport.
We’re deepening our investment in these critical areas:
- Upgraded user experience across the member platform and related member technology tools.
- Enhanced benefits and insurance options to better support and protect members.
- Deeper engagement with membership via Voices in Rowing.

2026 Membership Details:
Individual Membership pricing is available here, and Organizational Membership pricing is available here. Here is a more detailed summary:
What’s the Same as 2025
- Free Regatta Sanctioning continues for events that utilize RegattaCentral. Sanctioned regattas that use RegattaCentral’s Regatta Management services can still sanction their event at no cost; events also remain eligible for discounted registration fees.
- Basic, Collegiate, Supporter, and Learn to Row Membership prices stay the same. We understand costs impact programs and participants at every level, and so we are keeping these membership tiers flat for over 57,000 current members.
- No Additional Coach or Organization Certification requirements. Level 1 coach certification continues as the minimum standard for all coaches at member organizations. We are not implementing Organization requirements around Level 2 coaches, Continuing Education Credits, or Organizational Certification for 2026.
What’s Changing in 2026
- Additional Member Benefits:
- All Members:
- Starting early 2026 as a member benefit, members will have access to enroll in comprehensive coverage, such as health, dental, vision, and other insurance options through a third party. Additionally, organizations can enroll to offer group benefits to their staff.
- Nutrition Workshop with the U.S, National Team High Performance Nutritionist.
- Access to an Athlete Toolkit, with a focus on whole-athlete performance. This will include resources on nutrition, mental performance, physiology, strength and conditioning, and more.
- Year-Round Organizational Members: 10% Discount on select coaching clinics and conferences.
- Sanctioned Events: Promotion of regattas through USRowing channels.
- All Members:
- Championship and Lifetime Memberships will increase in price. These tiers are most affected by rising insurance costs and are increasing by $10 and $250, respectively. To curb this increase for long-term members, we’re introducing a new four-year Championship membership option (see below).
- New Four-Year Championship Membership. Members of all ages who plan to participate for four consecutive years can make a one-time purchase for three years of Championship membership and get the fourth free. Unlocking a 28% discount.
- Organizational Memberships will increase.
- Organizations not using USRowing insurance will see about a 3% increase to reflect inflation and ongoing improvements to member services.
- Organizations using USRowing insurance will see about a 7% increase to reflect inflation, higher insurance premiums, and ongoing improvements to member services.
- Small Tier adjusted to 26–60 members. We heard from our organizational members that the jump from the Small (currently 26-50 members) to the Medium (currently 51-150 members) tier was too large. This change makes fees fairer for smaller teams.
- Bulk Individual Purchasing on a single invoice for organizations (coming March 2026). While organizations can currently purchase multiple individual memberships at once, in response to member feedback, we are updating this feature to appear as a single invoice with their organizational renewal.
