Personal

Chris was named USRowings 2022 and 2024 Beach Sprint Male Athlete of the Year. Chris won the University of Cincinnatis MVP and hammer awards for being a team player and for having the fastest 2k ergometer score. He enjoys skiing and snowboarding, playing tennis, woodworking, cycling, and cooking. Chris says it is hard to find a picture of him without his tongue out. He is now trying to take more photos without his tongue out because his mom doesnt like it. Chris is a huge Cincinnati Bearcats and Cincinnati Bengals fan. He says the Bengals will win the Super Bowl in 2023-2024 season.You heard it here first folks. He found the sport of rowing after watching it at the London 2012 Olympic Games. Chris lists his grandfather as his personal hero because was always an amazing role model and taught him how to be humble and love endlessly. His favorite coffee is a plain oat milk latte. His favorite place to compete is Punta Leona, Costa Rica. Chris said his favorite place to travel is home to spend time with friends, family, and his dog, Teegan, because he spends so much time away from home. His favorite Olympic moment is watching the opening ceremonies. Some of his favorites include: TV: Peaky Blinders, Jury Duty, Breaking Bad; Movies: James Bond, Greatest Showman, Frozen, Cruella; Books: The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle, The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho; Music: Dierks Bentley, Illenium, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Pitbull.
