12 Lead ECG

National Team athletes must complete and submit a current 12 Lead ECG that’s signed by a doctor.

A cardiologist selected by the USRowing Medical Committee will review all ECGs. By submitting the above medical documentation to USRowing, the athlete is agreeing to share this information with the USRowing Medical Committee and the cardiologist. In the case of an abnormal ECG, the USRowing Medical Committee may request additional testing for the athlete prior to their participation with the National Team. As noted in the selection procedures, a USRowing selected doctor may advise an athlete that they are medically unable to compete because the athlete’s physical condition would inhibit the performance of the boat per the doctor's diagnosis. If the athlete still chooses to compete, they must sign a waiver provided by USRowing.
