U.S. Crews Ready for World Rowing Cup III in Switzerland
Seventeen U.S. crews will compete this weekend at World Rowing Cup III in Lucerne, Switzerland, the final regatta of the 2026 World Rowing Cup series. Racing begins Friday, June 26, and continues through Sunday, June 28, as American athletes take on many of the world's top nations.
Competition gets underway Friday with heats and quarterfinals. Semifinals and select finals are scheduled for Saturday, while the regatta concludes Sunday with A and B finals. The event serves as an important opportunity for crews to gain international racing experience and measure their speed ahead of the 2026 World Rowing Championships.
The United States enters the weekend with momentum after a standout performance at World Rowing Cup II in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, where American crews earned 11 medals, including six golds.
